This policy sets out how SplatLab ("the Site") handles users' information as follows. The Site is operated by an individual on a non-profit basis, and the information collected is limited to what is necessary to provide and improve the Site.
1. Information We Collect
Information collected even without logging in
- Access data (Cloudflare Web Analytics): page views, referrers, approximate country/region, browser type, and so on. This tool does not use cookies and does not track individuals.
- In-site interaction events: we record which feature on which page was used (e.g., opening a match, changing a filter, clicking a chart), together with the date and time, the page path, and the browser's User-Agent. We do not record your name, email address, or IP address. It is used only for aggregation to improve features.
Information collected when you log in
- Google account information: display name, email address, and profile image URL. The Site never receives your password when you log in with Google.
- Profile information: display name, weapon of choice, highest XP, and uploaded avatar image (all optional).
- Usage: videos you have favorited and analysis requests you have submitted.
- Login session: to manage the session, we store your IP address and User-Agent.
2. Purposes of Use
- Maintaining your logged-in state and verifying your identity
- Providing user features such as favorites and profiles
- Responding to analysis requests
- Improving the Site's features and investigating problems
- Preventing abuse and spam
We do not provide or sell the collected information to third parties without your consent. Nor do we use it for advertising or targeted ads.
3. Use of Cookies
The Site uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. Deleting this cookie will log you out, but you can still browse the Site. The access analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) does not use cookies.
4. Integration with External Services
The Site uses the following external services. When their pages or content are displayed, your IP address and browser information may be sent to each provider. Please review each provider's privacy policy for details.
- Google (login authentication): used for logging in with a Google account.
- YouTube (embedded video playback and thumbnails): we embed YouTube's official player for video playback. Google's privacy policy applies during playback.
- Cloudflare (access analytics and spam prevention): used for cookie-free access analytics and for bot detection (Turnstile) when forms are submitted.
5. Storage and Deletion of Information
- The collected information is stored in a database on a server managed by the operator.
- If you delete your account, your profile information, favorites, and login sessions will be deleted.
- If you wish to delete your account or review or correct your registered information, please contact us at the address below. We will respond promptly after verifying your identity.
6. For Video Uploaders
The Site analyzes only videos that are publicly available on YouTube, and plays them through YouTube's official embedded player. If you wish to have your own video removed, please contact us at the address below. We will promptly delete the video and its analysis results.
7. Changes to This Policy
The contents of this policy may be changed as necessary. The revised contents take effect from the time they are posted on this page.
